Vintage 1940s Boy Scouts Uniform from Kenosha, Wisconsin -- Troop 007
Vintage Boy Scouts uniform worn by a young Wisconsin Scout in the early 1940s.  Included in this lot:
-- Twill type fabric shirt, short sleeve, v-neck, two button flap pockets, patch above right pocket "Boy Scouts of America", and patches on left arm "Kenosha Wis." and "007."  Vintage label inside shirt reads, "Boy Scouts of America, Official Uniform, Boy Scouts of America National Council, The Official Boy Scout Seal, New York, Chicago, San Francisco."
When buttoned and lying flat the approximate shirt measurements are --
Shoulder to shoulder = 18 1/2"
Armpit to armpit = 22 1/2"
Top back of shirt to bottom back of shirt = 31"
-- Twill type fabric pants with fold-over button front pockets with red piping on pocket flaps.  Pants come with original Boy Scouts webbed belt.
When zipped closed and lying flat the approximate pant measurements are --
14" across at waist
29" inseam
Belt measures 34 1/4" from end to end including buckle
-- Large red and black BSA scarf/bandana, with original metal slide.
Vintage items are in nice condition.  Pants have stains and wear around the knees as seen in photos.  Pants had been shortened and then let out again, and you can see the wear lines where the pants had once been folded.  Shirt is in good condition, but black/brown enameled buttons are missing paint as seen in photos.  There is a name written upside down in black marker on the inside bottom back of the shirt.  I did not even notice that name or mark all the times I've handled this shirt until today, while I was measuring for size.  If you look at the back of the shirt the name is at the very bottom -- written on the inside, but can be seen somewhat on the outside.  None of these items have been laundered after coming out of storage, so stains may come out with a good soak.
