Made in the 90s, when China was competing for business and doing an exceptional job! he poodle is machine embroidery, not an applique. The skirt and blouse are attached so Ginny never looks unkempt. The saddle shoes are the best made of all Ginny shoes and give extra length laces so you can, if you wish, tie them tightly and cut off the excess.
There is a label sewn in, of course, but I didn't want to undress her with so many clothes.
The soft warm jacket and matching hat are so beautifully made. this is one of the nicest Modern Ginnys produced. I even like her blonde hair, which isn't the bright bleached blonde, more natural.
This outfit  was made by Vogue Doll Company. in the the height of their success when China was eager to make everything Vogue wanted with the finest materials and generous labor. In the later years the workmanship was still excellent but they were not able to produce the same products that they had. But then,sadly,Vogue Doll Company was not making dolls any longer; they might in the future. The factory in China closed and kept the molds. We can hope that somehow Vogue will get back at what they do so well!
