    Exceedingly Rare
    1950's Planters Peanut Coin Op
    Peanut Dispenser made by the Vendo Company. This is model # CV161B5 as shown on the original tag with serial number. The piece is in unbelievable condition and was found in the attic of a closed up Coca Cola plant where it sat dormant for many years. The decals on the side look amazing,

    The small decal on the corner of the glass promoting the packets as "The nickel lunch". It looks like this was a wall mounted unit, it is very heavy and weighs approximately 120 lbs. The dispenser measures 48" tall, 24" wide and 7" deep, it is deeper at the bottom where the aluminum trough is located. I put a nickel in but it came out where the pack of peanuts would be, it may need a mechanical adjustment. This is a beautiful piece, I've never seen one and I couldn't find where any have ever sold but I am not a Planters Collector. I have the key to the main door but not to the coin box. This piece is too big and heavy to ship, it is available for local pick up or the buyer can arrange their own shipping method, Uship is a nice option to try. This is an unbelievable piece that would enhance any Planters Peanut collection and makes for a wonderful display, you won't find another one. Thanks for looking!
