The cards were drawn by illustrator Pamela Colman Smith from the instructions of academic and mystic A. E. Waite, originally published in 1909 by the Rider Company.
Other names for this deck include

'Smith Tarot Deck' is just a generic name for the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck. It's literally the same thing and is referred to by many names.
How did these get damaged and why are you reselling them?
I order large bulk shipments of tarot cards and sometimes the package gets mishandled during shipping which causes minor damage to about 10% of the decks. The condition of the tarot cards themselves are otherwise fine (brand new) and they are still usable. I am selling them so people can get a great discount while still having brand new cards that are perfectly usable. I make no profit whatsoever on these cards and you get them at a great price. If I didn't sell them, they would otherwise be sitting unused taking up space. I am selling them so people who don't mind the slight damage can save money.
I thought I ordered the Rider-Waite Tarot deck.
Can I get a refund for the box having a different title than Rider-Waite Tarot printed on the box?
These are Rider-Waite Tarot cards. 'Smith Tarot Deck'
is an alternate name.

How do I use the cards?
Yes, the cards come with a folded paper instruction manual with information about the cards. I recommend searching online "How To Use Tarot Cards" for more information. There are numerous websites and videos that offer detailed instructions for how to use the cards and go into greater detail than the instruction manual.
