Here's an old 1930s or 1940s heavy duty steel milk can. It is 13" in diameter and 25" tall (with the lid on). Its a 10-gallon milk can. Its solid and very heavy ( about 25 lbs). It had been painted a maroon color at one point. "Hiland" is a local dairy that went out of business decades ago. In the third picture, the lid is just setting on the throat of the can. The can be put on properly with a little force, and I used a rubber mallet to tap it off. Email any questions.
